There is no doubt that QRN plagues any DX station this time of year in the
tropics, but last night not only was C52C a steady 579-599+ for a couple of
hours in EN93 but the op was putting 'em in the log from both EU and NA at a
fantastic rate. So, the station hears well in spite of the static crashes,
the ops are obviously very proficient, and perhaps the inability to make a
QSO has more to do with operator technique on this end rather than the DX
station's "inability" to hear.
