I have been in touch with Nelson and he is very enthused about his recent
activity on 160. Last night he worked over 100 stations, mainly Europe, and
was getting good reports. He has worked 4 NA stations so far.
He intends to listen daily for NA at 00Z which is about 30 minutes before
his sunrise. He will be transmitting on 1826. He also will be QRV around 22Z
most days for EC sunset.
He is using a T vertical with a 50 foot vertical section and approximately
20 radials. He lives in a rural location and has no man made noise so his
receive capabilities are excellent.
Let's hope that the propagation cooperates!
