The story of the station is at http://www.surplusparty.ch/hochwacht/, in
German. In summary, it says:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The 50m antenna tower was installed in 1976 and fitted with TV broadcast
antennas. Since then, cable and satellite transmission have gradually
taken over, to the extent that the terrestrial TV transmissions were
shut down about 10 years ago.
After several years of negotiation and preparation, the group finally
signed the contracts on Friday 13 March 2009 to use the tower for
amateur radio purposes.
Tower location: JN37XH
Height: 644m asl
The spec of the 160m station:
40m (quarter-wave) vertical
K2 transceiver
WebSDR software, running under Ubuntu Linux
There is also a 70cm repeater on the tower.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm not sure exactly where/how the K2 fits into the picture.
