Nocturnal nomads, RF seekers, Long wire wizards and others,
You have a bit of time before 1500Z Dec. 18 to do the chores, walk the
dog, walk the beverages and pay the electricity bill
in order to be ready for the start of this year's edition of The Stew Perry
TopBand DX Challenge brought to you by The Boring
Amateur Radio Club. This contest runs for 24 hours and you can operate
legally for 14 of those hours. Usually it is best to
use the hours of darkness since this is a 160M CW contest and the 160M
signals seem to go better when it is dark outside.

where you get more points for making further away qsos, receive more points
by working tiny signals rather than QRO signals,
where the contest exchange really means something like your call and grid
square, and where you could very well win a handsome
plaque for a category sponsored by radio giants who encourage certain radio
accomplishments.

the category for which you might compete. As an added bonus for the
Stalwarts, we've listed if we have received the funds for each
plaque as it can be difficult to remember if you've remitted.
Please look through this list of plaques. When you see one of the sponsors
please buy them a beverage or give them a radio or
some other magnanimous gesture as they understand supporting contesting is
more than just wearing firm undergarments.
