It all depends on the degree of precision that you need for whatever project you happen to be working on. I work all bands between 1.8 MHz and 900 MHz, and I occasionally need test equipment for all of them.

Also, errors can add with either a positive or negative sign, as a phase angle. Impedance measurements with a vector analyzer are done with a mathematical equation that can be the difference of numbers that are nearly equal, so a small error in the raw data can cause a greater error in the measured Z.
