I have an 80M vertical with 4 elevated radials now. What is your

I A/B'ed an inverted vee with 120 degree apex angle
with apex at 130 feet with a ground mounted 1/4
wave vertical with a very extensive ground plane.
On DX signals, it was a toss up. On NVIS signals,
the vee was about an S-unit better, but a lower
vee was even better than that. This was for
transmit.

On receive, my experience is that dipoles are
usually better than verticals. I've never
seen a case where a vertical was better.
