Hello Ron,

Beverage antennas operate as "traveling wave" and not "standing wave" (not to be confused with SWR two different things). The results are the beverage is _physically horizontal, but electrically vertical_. Important because of the need of low angle of radiation that vertical antenna provides.

This is a long topic, but read about "traveling wave" and then this will become clear.

I recently read, from Tom, W8JI, that the beverage antenna is vertically

would be horizontal.

Under Best diversity receive antennas.

Thanks
