I put up an R7000 100' from my shack in a woods with big trees all around
less than 10' away. The R7000 is on an 8' mast off the ground not exactly
ideal. I've worked 76 countries on it since I put it up in May. I think
thats pretty good for the bottom of the cycle. It doesn't hear as good as
a beam on a tower but sometimes I get as good or better signal reports as
other local hams with beams sometimes not. I'm running 500w. I hope this
helps.

What are you using now? For my moneysworth, I'd put up some
dipoles -
much more efficient.
BTW, have you considered the Force 12 ZR3? This is a new design
that
is basically full-sized vertical dipoles for 10-15-20M that are bent in
order
to give them a compact design. No traps so it's over 90% efficient
(unlike
trapped verticals), gives you maximum bandwidth (unlike trapped
verticals)
and really DOESN'T have to have any radials (unlike trapped verticals).
Let
me know if you need a Force 12 catalog. Yes, TOWER TECH is a Force 12
dealer.
