Is there anything wrong with using two pieces of 7/8" Heliax, that has been
spliced together? I got a real good deal on it, the tower guy said that
they end up with short pieces of 50-35, etc., each, and he connects them so
that they don't go to waste. Has anyone done this, and if so, does it work
out OK? The spliced area is inside the house, and not exposed to the
elements. Also, does anyone think it's better to go with new or used, solid
(no splice) line? How long does this type of line last?

Thanks,

Scott.
