The fact that the subwoofers don't carry the interference would suggest that 
the signal originates in the amp rather than the speaker leads. The amp has a 
lowpass filter to the subwoofer leads that would (should) do a good job at 
eliminating the RFI, while the subwoofers would (should) still reproduce the 
offending audio. My money is on the AC line filtering to the amplifier to cure 
the interference.
