Subject: [CQ-Contest] 10M STACKS
LAST WEEKEND WAS A GREAT TIME TO CHECK THE 10M ANTENNA...
GREAT OPENINGS ALMOST ALL DAY- EU/AF/SA
THE OLD ANTENNA IS A 6/6/6/6 STACK SWITCHABLE UPPER PAIR/ LOWER
PAIR/ ALL-- THE UPPER PAIR ROTATES AND THE LOWER PAIR FIXED ON SA.
THE NEW ANTENNA IS A 6/6/6 ON A SEPARATE TOWER FIXED ON EU...
THE HEIGHTS ARE 30/60/90/120 AND 28/56/84
NOW FOR THE TESTS LAST WEEKEND: ON WESTERN EU AND NORTH AFRICA
THE 6/6/6 STACK WAS MUCH MUCH BETTER - OFTEN 20DB
TO EASTERN EUROPE- OK- UA THE UPPER 6/6 STACK PRODUCED Q5
CONTACTS THAT WERE NOT HEARD ON THE 6/6/6 STACK
MORAL TO THE STORY: THERE IS NO PERFECT HIGHT OR ANTENNA-
HAVE A BUNCH AND USE THE ONE THAT WORKS BEST AT THE PARTICULAR TIME.
CAN U IMAGINE A FISHERMAN GOING OUT WITH ONE BAIT?
73 HAVE FUN THIS WEEKEND
