I'm sorry, but this is all the same old 'gain' shuck-and-jive and is precisely the reason that QST won't publish gain figures for antennas! I REALLY believe that a 3 element yagi has 13dB gain over SOMETHING, but WHAT? Certainly not a dipole, a wet string perhaps. Without a specific reference these numbers are totally meaningless.
