Sure enough Scott,

Your jpegs really helped out with identification. Also there ARE 1n, =
2n, 3n stamps into the pads. At this point I have the wind load data =
from their webpage, and I am requesting more info from Rohn about the =
SSV. This tower is new, but was stored for more than a year, and the =
paperwork is gone. =20

I am really interested in the the short section mounting, although the =
ideas of bolting up the first section in-place for the pour sounds =
viable. I too have seen the pros "pounding" and "cheating" wayward =
studs into alignment without much consequence, but it always brings to =
mind the screeching violins from "Psycho", while I commence to bite off =
four fingers at a time! I do believe I'll leave the daring-do to the =
pros.

About the hole, it would be an interesting project to model the 90 mi/hr =
wind load at the top + distributed forces along face, transferred to the =
ground via the concrete mass. It looks like your tower makes a =
convenient handle to turn the world with! Either that or I have =
underestimated our needs. We're going slow with this project and will =
keep Tower Talk appraised. =20

Also, while I was looking back through the archives, I ran across this =
link, http://ethics.tamu.edu/ethics/tvtower/tv3.htm that illustrates =
someone else's nightmare. Kind of verbose but worth the trip.

Thanks to you and all who responded with your experience. =20

Jim, AC6TK
