Finally a problem I know how to fix now I can give back for all the
info I have gotten from the reflector!
As for the problem on the coax conection on the Butternut. I know this
problem well. The solution is to strip some braid off an old piece of
coax and solder it to the center connector of the matching section on
the Butternut. Besure and tape it real good. I put about 8" on mine and
it has held up fine for about 4 months. I also did the same thing to the
sheild side to make both sides even.
This should fix it for good. Another suggestion is to tape the
matching section to the mast so there is not so much flexing at the
screw conections
