Greetings, TowerTalkians --
I made it home today and hope that those of you that are travelling
arrive safe and sound. Hey, we've got lots of topics to discuss and towers to
build!
I stopped by the Phillystran booth and found out that Texas Towers is now
handling the HPTG11200 size, the 5/16 EHS equivalent. Apparently there are
some BIG amateur towers going up.
I asked Ken Knight about the old style Phillystran and the availability
of the resin and potting heads and he said that it's all available. The
potting heads are about $30 each and I would strongly recommend using them
instead of some other hardware that's CLOSE. I don't know if you can order
them from the factory or what but let me know if you need more info.
I wanted to let everyone know that it was a thrill to meet so many
TowerTalkians at Dayton. All of the comments were very positive and I really
had to blush a couple of times. Meeting Al, NS0B, Stuart, WA9ZPL, JP, W2XX,
Rod, N5HV, Steve, W2ML and literally dozens more was really FUN!! And everyone
got a TowerTalk sticker (THE talk of Dayton, BTW - hi). Even Roger, K2JAS,
said hi but he left real quickly for some reason. THANKS to all.
Send me an SASE and I'll send you a couple of the notorious stickers so
next time you go to a club meeting or hamfest, you'll be waving your TowerTalk
flag high! Box 572, Woodinville, WA, 98072.
Cheers, Steve K7LXC
