Charlie, at least one of the responses I read seemed to be based on a
misunderstanding of your query. I think the respondent was not saying that
they would pay you, but that they would pay you for the services of a
professional.

The tower/antenna professionals hereabouts -- not talking about cable guys
-- are both more knowledgeable and more careful by far than the average
ham, particularly when it comes to reliability considerations.  After all,
they spend most of their time working on installations where 100 percent
up-time is worth money, and the cost of liability for failures is profound.
