[TowerTalk] TA-36feed

What are the opinions on using a W2DU or BN4000 balun on a TA-36 instead of
the coax transformer that the instruction book says.
    BTW, I know what the manufacturer says, but is the above an improvement
and more maintenance free way to accomplish the same thing the coax does?
