A scissor jack and a pair of 1 X 4 boards or a
small hydraulic jack can be used to separate
difficult tower sections.
K7LXC sells a tool called a "Tower Jack" if I
remember the name correctly. It can be used
to separate or pull together uncooperative
tower sections.
Take along some extra guy grips or non-stretch
rope to temporarily guy the last section before
removing the bottom set of guys. NEVER rely
on the base of an old tower installation as your
sole support during removal. You just do not
know what deterioration or corrosion may have
taken place out of view.
