Hi all,
Of course, I've read many, many threads about the optimum height of
various antennae and towers, but I wonder how does one measure height
if the ground underneath the tower falls away? If, for example, the tower is
sitting at the top of a ridge and the ground falls away starting ten feet from
the tower, is the height some composite of heights within a certain radius
or is height always measured from the base to the antenna? Conversely,
if the tower is sitting on the side of a hill, is the measured height a
composite
of measurements from the uphill and downhill sides?
Any thoughts on this
