K4JRB Reply:
I did order the aluminum from KLM and they charged me over $29 for the 72"
piece including shipping. It arrived broken at about the same point as the
piece I was replacing. UPS says it was not packed right so won't take it
back.

The i.d is exactly the same. KLM just uses a very thin wall compared to
regular stock. The element checks within 1st director freq on the MFJ259
and matches the freq as measured on a friends KT34A (has the exact same
director).

Still hoping someone has either the correct equation for each element or the
correct res. freq.
(revised last in 1985).
