Your 2 part epoxy paints will work, but you must prep the galvanized
surface first.
Use a mild acid wash as "mild" like vinegar, then apply the paint.
You should be able to web search and get the necessary product numbers
from some of the really good industrial paint suppliers.
On an offshore platform in China, a few years ago, there were gonna be
some big shot dignitaries pay the platform a visit, and there was a desire
to not let them get their white gloves dirty when they used the exterior
stairway handrails, so they painted the handrails.
First the Chinese workers pickled the handrails with sulfuric acid, then
they painted them. It wasn't long at all before the handrails were pretty
sad. I think it is safe to say that those handrails are gone now. Again,
the pickle process should be with a very mild acid.
