The world may have changed since 1968, but when I was working on Navy
aircraft in that era, if you had a number of items to safety wire,
such as bolting flanges together, the daisy-chain method was approved.
If you just had two or three, then twisting the wires together was the
correct way.
I still have my old set of safety wire pliers, designed for twisting
the wire.

It's been a while. The method I mention will work fine, but it's not the
"right" way
to do it. The right way is to push one end of the wire through the first
bolt. Loop the
wire around the side of the bolt head and twist the two ends together until
you get to the next bolt, where you feed one wire through and the other
wire around
the side and so on. Always ensure that the wiring is pulling the bolts
tighter, not
looser.
A mail order source for safety wire is Chief Aircraft

I found them on the internet and otherwise know nothing about them.
Sorry to dribble on about a subject that I've already said is overkill. But
having
started it, I want to get it right.
