When I took my "new" tower down at the ex-owner's QTH, I discovered the
TB was not a bearing at all, but more of a bushing. The top is a steel
collar and the bottom has a bronze insert for the collar to ride on.
This is a Hy-Gain HG-TB "Product 121B bronze/oil bearing" (from the
manual). There is no mention of maintenance on this unit.

My question is, what is the proper lubrication for it? Since I have
already installed it, I put something on it. But I'm wondering what I
REALLY should have used. It was very dry when I removed it from the
original installation, and didn't want to put it back that way.
