Hi all,

I'd like to learn what is the better approach concerning antenna weight
on the rotator. For ease of changing rotators and not having to raise
the antenna stack it would be nice to have all the weight on the thrust
bearing. Is this a good practice? I have been told that it is better
to have at least part of the load on the rotator bearings. This
obviously makes changing rotators more work. In my case, the rotator is
the G-800SDX which is located 10' below the thrust bearing.

I'm in process of upgrading my system and would like to do use the
better installation approach.

Would appreciate any information.
