If the builidng is reinforced concrete, you can
ground via the rebar (Ufer ground). However,
you should provide addiitonal paths via wide
(recommend 6"- or 150mm-wide) copper strap.
If you make the length not be resonant in the
ham bands, you should be okay; this is similar
to breaking up tower guys with insulators so they
aren't resonant and spoil the radiation pattern of
the antenna.

Subject: [TowerTalk] Grounding the tower
Hello,
My tower is erected on the roof top of a concrete building, the roof is
30 ft high above the ground. Is it wise to connect an earth cable from
the tower to the nearest ground point which is 30 ft below? I am afraid
this length of earth cable will act as a radiator, & start causing RFI
& TVI ! I could be wrong..
