You are right. I went to the analyzer and checked the VA-1 again. After
flipping in some front end attenuation, the analyzer shows +10dbm. The
reading I took before was compressed at the mixer in the 8553. Sorry about
the confusion. I should have known because the VA-1 has pretty good
spectral purity and the screen indicated considerable harmonic content, DAH!
