I went through the same analysis and also don't see much concern about metal
objects coming into contact with triplex 240v service drops. I actually saw
some guys putting up a tv antenna mast one time lay the upper mast section
on a triplex service drop line as a temp support until they could get the
mast on up to the vertical. I was petrified when I saw it. They got the
mast on up without further incident. I later asked the guys why they did
that and they said: "oh, we do it all the time. There's no juice on the
service drop; they're well insulated".
