HI Anthony; I have a Ham IV/CD 45 that has been in the air and used
occasionally since April 1979 (it's serial # 2). I opened it up two years
ago and cleaned the old grease out and relubed using some old 30 year old
Sears cup grease #4402. Turns OK and I haven't seen any grease running down
the tower in this 114 degree heat we are having in Phoenix.
Good Luck
K7MAX
ex W7IJG and Kn4JZE since 1956
