If you are talking about the clock time that might not be correct. The
first variations come from using Standard or Daulight time, the next will
be where in the 15 or so degree belt of time you are in.
Another way might be to plot the shadow cast by a vertical rod (yes, it
takes time, no instant gratification here). Take the longest shadow mark
on both sides of the rod, and join. The line should pass at the point of
the shortest shadow cast whcih should point the the North. But then some
people will say that that is the sun's north, not the true North.
