TT:
A suggestion: At the low point(s) in the conduit run, dig a small pit
and fill it with gravel or, as I did, concrete chunks (left over from my
tower project.) If you drill a couple of half-inch holes in the underside
of the conduit just over this pit, the collected water will drain out into
the pit and percolate into the soil below. You might want to cover the
drilled holes with some weed screen fabric - the kind you lay down in flower
beds to allow water to flow into the soil, but keep the weeds from growing
too prolifically. This barrier will slow down many subterranean fauna that
might choose to live with the cables. I used a few pieces of insulated
house wire to tie the fabric in place around the conduit.
Of course, if your conduit is in a high water table, then, as the
preacher in Blazing Saddles said, "Son, you're on your own."
