Remember the Aloha Airlines incident where the top of the
fuselage peeled off and sucked the flight attendant out?
That was caused by cracks in the aluminum, caused by too
many pressurization cycles without proper maintenance.
Airlines routinely inspect for small cracks, and replace
components when cracks are detected.
Aloha was held liable for negligence in their failure to
inspect and maintain.
