Subject: [TowerTalk] aluminum tower disassembly?

When I disassembled my dad's Heights Aluminum 40 ft tower,
I lowered first and used a car jack to separate the sections.
Two of the joints were so tight that I pulled the legs apart
below the joint. Others on TT have recommended a combination
of heat on the outside tube and cold water on the inside tube.
Some chemical solutions have also been proposed in the
archives.
