I agree the sled system is the way to go cheaper and safe and perfect
for
lower heights to 100ft.
The two cable system off the sided of a strong tower is cheap to make.
Just take a 25g section and run 5/16 guy cable thru two legs and a cable

up and over a pully at the top and you have a eleveator that will lif
the
antennas. The cable only will have the weight of the sled, rotor and
antennas.

With this talk of Crankups/Cables, and aftermarket mods to towers, the
Hazer
comes to mind. That arrangement DOES take the stress off of the lifting
cable, with a spring loaded latch that grabs the top rung of Rohn25.

Any comments on this system?
