Hi Tim,
The E-H antenna is nonsense based on the worse kind of theory. It
is an offshoot of the ten-year-old CFA (that no one else outside the
"inventors" has ever seen work).
There are perhaps a half-dozen of these "something for nothing"
antennas floating around on internet, and neither the physics nor
the electrical circuit theory is correct on any of them. Some even
have patents, but that is because the patent office quit checking to
see if things actually make sense a long time ago.
Save yourself some time. If you want a small limited space
antenna, look at designs that use a large capacitance hat and
good high-Q loading inductor....and use as good a ground as
possible. That will maximize what you can do in a limited space.
There is no free lunch. E-H antennas and the like belong in the
same group as 200 MPG carburetors for 4300 pound Coupe
DeVilles.
