Is the 3/8" rope for the haul rope? It's pretty small which makes it
difficult to grasp by hand.

    Where? Ginpole? Wire antenna halyards?

The BEST pulley I've ever used is a lightweight high-impact plastic one
that linemen use. It's always the first one up the tower. It's a snatch-block
(which means the top opens up so you can hook it onto a rope anywhere) and is
available from <A HREF="http://www.championradio.com";>www.championradio.com
</A>.

Otherwise rigging shops have the steel chinese variety - they're adequate
and cheap but heavy. They use a clevis/shackle as the attachment point -
they're snatch-blocks also.
