Not sure what height you are limited to. But, if you can do about 35', why
not check out the new SteppIR vertical? It is a single, thin fiber glass
tube about 35' high. Won't need a tuner on 40 through 6M as the element
inside the tube physically adjusts to be exactly a 1/4 wave length and thus
it presents a 50 ohm load on any frequency within the range of coverage.

Could probably paint its exterior white (or whatever). Could probably use a
tuner with it to work 160 & 75 but not certain.

Subject: [Towertalk] Multiband Vertical Antenna

I want to use an ICOM AH-4 antenna tuner (HF to 50 mHz) or similar (even
homebrew) with an appropriate vertical antenna for a multiband vertical
antenna to go on the flat (gravel armored composite built-up on wood
trusses) roof of my 4-story condominium. I would like to get 2m
coverage also if possible on the same antenna. Multiple feedlines are
no problem. The AH-4 needs a 7m (23ft) antenna. I can install a guyed
antenna if necessary. The basic idea is to have a nice clean-looking
antenna that will not attract much negative comment. I already have
permission to erect an antenna and, in fact, have a Carolina Windom and
a Ringo Ranger up now. They work fine, but just look a bit crappy from
the street. I just want to make everything look a bit nicer (about like
a flagpole) while getting as good an antenna system as I can.

Does anyone have any ideas or experience to share concerning an
appropriate antenna to use with this tuner? Anyone already know of an
appropriate antenna that I can build? I am not talking "inexpensive"
or "cheap" or "plumbers special".I am capable of building anything and
will spend the time and money necessary to construct a good design.
