Rich-
Have you considered a moving company vs. a freight company? They would pick it
up when they have less than a full load for delivery to NV. May require some
patience and/or short lead time for pick up.

I have a 1500 pound package in Indiana that I need shipped to Reno. The
package size is 3x3x24 feet (Wood Crate) and most shipping companies want an
arm and a leg for shipping.

If you have any ideas or suggestions for shipping companies that are
  reasonable, please let me know.

  Thanks...
  Rich
