I rebuilt my KT-34 to with the M2 Upgrade kit about a year ago.  It was a
little time consuming, but no big deal.  The onlu thing I would recommend is
to use a little of the grease to seal the capacitor tube caps to help keep
water out.

Other than that, It was a breeze and the antenna plays exceptionally well,
not to mention the fact that it's mechanically stronger.
