Any fiberglass, no matter how UV-stabilized, will eventually degrade after
prolonged exposure to sunlight. Make your fiberglass spreaders and booms
last many years longer-and decrease their visibility by spray painting them
flat black. First clean and/or degrease them with a  solvent such as acetone
or methyl ethyl ketone...(be VERY careful when using MEK... Follow
cautionary notes supplied with MEK)  Apply a good primer, and allow the
primer to cure at least two days.  Apply a top coat of flat black paint.
