Hello All, I have a TX-489 and the T2x rotator will just fit in the
upper section and can be lowered all the way. There is only one
position that the unit will lower though. I had to rotate the unit
until I found the spot there it would fit between the x-braces (but it
did fit). I think the TX-472 and TX-489 have the same top section so

The RD-1800 has the same footprint as the T2X, but not the same profile.
When I replaced my T2X with an RD-1800 (about a year ago), fitting it
through the braces of Rohn 45 was a tight squeeze (much tighter than the
T2X).
