Hi you guys.

Originally I didn't want to get in the Tuner Fray, but part-way in I
realized I wanted to comment:

In this day and age of radios-on-the-head-of-a-pin, or so it seems, where we
can't just do our own gear anymore, a TUNER represents an opportunity for
any klutz like myself to build something really substantial and useful and
not mess it up too bad.

i.e. Tuners are real easy to build, and if you scrounge the box and
components, you'll save a lot of money over buying one, for sure.

Thereafter, every time you sit down to operate, and adjust your antenna's
SWR with your tuner, you'll get that warm, satisfying, "I-built-it-myself"
feeling.

Surely this warm fuzzy comment has a place in this thread?

I've collected so much tuner stuff over the years in anticipation of finally
building N5OT that I have piles of it. If anyone needs "that special part"
to finish off their tuner project, email me and I can tell you what I have
and probably snap a digiphoto and email it back.

Mark, N5OT
