The controls/rotor are nowhere close to being alike.

This rotor looks similar to the Hy-Gain T4X, I do not know if they are
compatible. I mention it because there is a neat addition available for the
Hy-Gain rotor controller called Rotor-EZ which does exactly what you want
(in addition to optional computer interface). May be worth investigating,
as it is not very expensive.
