Hi Folks, A friend has one of these antennas. He knows that they are a compromise but he has one place for a wire and this one fits the bill. It's strung between two trees at 55ft above ground. The coax is about 85ft of RG213. The wires are in the clear, outside the dripline of the trees. His SWR on 40m is 3:1 across the band. I don't know much about these antennas. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what he might do to bring down the SWR at the feed point. 73, dave wa3gin _______________________________________________ See: http://www.mscomputer.com for "Self Supporting Towers", "Wireless Weather Stations", and lot's more.
