Except that ... connectors are perhaps the major source of feedline problems, through improper installation, water ingress, and the like. There have been lots of threads on towertalk over the years bearing on this -- any of the combinations of proper soldering and liquid electrical tape, vapor wrap and Scotch electrical tape discussed there will do the job.
