the spud wrench was invented by "spud" mickleseon. it was called 'spud's'
wrench by his friends and when he sold the idea the manufacturer liked the name
for marketing purposes.
curious that the wrench was only 8' long and curved and mickleseon was six
foot three inches tall and 250 lbs. he couldn't get his hand into his jeans
pocket to pull the little wrench out.his friends watched this with amusement
and said: he can't get that spud's wrench out of his own pocket how can he even
use it!
but as they say ... the rest is history
