What exactly is an "appliance operator's antenna"?

I'd think the 4el SteppIR would be an antenna enthusiast's dream. Being able to change element lenghts and thus performance of the antenna without having to haul the beam up and down the tower, cutting aluminum, etc....The only part of the SteppIR which isn't adjustable is the element spacing and it seems to be of the modern forward staggered design.

It may be pricey but name another yagi with four elements on each band which covers 20m-6m with the forward gain, F/S, F/B, and SWR bandwidth of the SteppIR. As far as I know none of the interlaced yagi folks (F12, Optibeam, etc...) make a beam with more than 3 elements on 20m.

Just .02 from a future 4el SteppIr owner.
