Oohh.... a fascinating topic. A minor quibble. The low power category is between 5 and 150W, not 100W, so maybe 4A per radio might be a better number if you're running radios capable of 150W like the MkV. 73 de Jim Smith VE7FO Another point. Field Day is a 100 watt or less contest. It's hard to burn more than about 300 watts per transmitter at keydown, so we're talking 3A max per radio. If you have 2-3 radios next to each other, that's still not a lot of current.
