Several folks have pointed out that N connectors have a pretty small center
conductor (same as a BNC).

This is not an issue unless there is a severe SWR problem

Is there a RF connector that is:
a) waterproof (nice feature of N and TNC)

I waterproof my N connectors

b) Easily assembleable with minimal screw up potential (leaves out PL-259s)

I simply don't understand why you say this. The UHF series connector is easy to install and use. It is far easier and requires less "training" or experience to install than either the 5 piece or 2 piece Andros N connector.

Properly waterproofed UHF connectors will last for years

b2) Field repairable (ideally no soldering required)

N's require soldering the center pin

c) inexpensive (<$5-10) in moderate (10-20 piece) quantities

i won't touch this with a 10' pole

d) handles high power (2kW)
