If I may give a few minor corrections, the Polygon (that's what I've always
have known it by) is actually 3/8 and has a tensile strength of 13,100# which
is like 5/16 EHS. It's super strong stuff, UV resistant, and one purchases
specially made guy grip ends from Preformed Line Products to attach the ends.
Polygon (also the company's name) will one make a minimum 5000 ft run but will
break up the run and ship individual lengths around the country (so y'all don't
have to pick it up nor be in the same local). I highly recommend it and yes,
material-wise two years ago it cost about $0.38/ft plus the shipping. It'll be
shipped in bundled 8 ft diameter coils. You merely uncoil is and use a hack
saw to cut it. Since it can be damaged, similar to Phillystran, the lower 15
ft or so of each guy should be EHS for physical protection. I'm guying a 120
ft tower and have had no problems; it's great stuff. Phil KB9CRY
