I made a 2el 40 out of surplus X7 40M add-on kits. Both of the "baluns" I
got had this problem. It looked like some sort of hard shock had broken the
wire from the center of each of the SO239s. Mine also had "drainholes"
which were located on what ends up being the top of the box. Straight to
the junk box.
